Location and Population

Terrace End is located in the south east part of the city on a bend in the Manawatu River and had a resident population of 2,940 (2001) [1]. The two primary schools in the area are Parkland School, located on a quiet suburban street near the golf course, and Terrace End School, located on Ruahine Street.

Terrace End is a part of the Hokowhitu Ward in the Palmerston North City Council. It shares this with other suburbs; Hokowhitu East, Hokowhitu West and Hokowhitu Lagoon. There are three councillors who represent this ward.
